Biomedical expert systems

Interest in expert systems (ES) as to the kind of artificial intelligence remains unabated. Over the past years we have gained considerable experience in the development of expert systems, including medical ES. Their main purpose - to collect, analyze, evaluate information and making diagnosis. In the estimation algorithms of information is dominated by logic, allowing to diagnose the disease by a set of symptoms derived from a person.

Lecture course addresses the objectives of ES, the principles of design, information base, the organization of processing of medical information.

Considerable attention is paid to the representation of knowledge in ES, classification, knowledge base and database. The technology of the knowledge discovery from experts, the treatment of expert assessments, students are given the knowledge of expert systems with uncertain knowledge, a Bayesian estimation and inference based on subjective probability.
