Joined a career orientation event with students of the capital's lyceum No. 142. In our part of the program, we talked about the modern electronics and microelectronics industry and the opportunities for professional development in it. We explained how the global semiconductor industry works - from designing microcircuits, using IP cores and EDA tools to their production at high-tech factories, testing and packaging.
We paid special attention to different types of companies in the industry (fabless companies, integrated manufacturers and foundries), the role of specialized materials and equipment. We gave examples of the activities of integrated circuit design companies, in particular those operating in Kyiv.
The students got acquainted with the work of microcircuit development engineers, circuit engineers and embedded systems specialists. We also demonstrated applied areas of modern electronics: the Internet of Things, FPGA programmable logic and power electronics used in transport, household appliances and energy.
In our opinion, specialties in the field of electronics remain relevant: the demand for such specialists is growing, and the opportunities to start a career in Ukraine with the prospect of entering the global technology market are quite real. The highlight of the presentation was the demonstration of the work processes of a microcircuit development engineer: the appearance of a topological project makes a great impression and inspires further immersion in the profession.

At the open house on March 14, 2026, at the Lampa Open Electronics Laboratory talked about the educational programs of the department, areas of scientific development and research groups of the department, international ties and experience of academic mobility.

The eighteenth Olympiad on the theory of electronic circuits “TEK’2025”, which is held in honor of the memory of Prof. Sigorsky V.P., was held by the Faculty of Electronics on November 21, 2025 online from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in GoogleClass.
55 students from the following faculties and scientific and educational institutes registered to participate in the Olympiad: RTF, IPSA, FEL, FIOT, ISZZI, IATE, FPM, IAT, ITS. 40 students submitted their work for verification.
The winners of the Olympiad were:
1st place – Artem Kravchenko, student of group RE-41 of the Radio Engineering Faculty;
2nd place – Artur Galechyan, student of group KI-51 of the Scientific and Educational Institute of Applied Systems Analysis;
3rd place – Andriy Hrytsanchuk, student of group DM-41, Faculty of Electronics.
