Career orientation event

10th grade students of Lyceum No. 214 visited the Faculty of Electronics, where they had a physics lesson in the measurement laboratory and at the same time got acquainted with other scientific spaces of the faculty. As part of our part of the program, high school students were told about modern directions of development of electronics and microelectronics, as well as about opportunities for professional growth in these industries.
The schoolchildren were explained how the global semiconductor industry works: from the design of microcircuits, the use of IP cores and EDA tools to production in high-tech factories, testing and packaging. Examples of the activities of companies engaged in the development of integrated circuits, in particular those operating in Kyiv, were given.
The students saw what microcircuit development engineers, circuit engineers and embedded systems specialists do, and also had the opportunity to observe the stages of the work of an engineer designing integrated circuits.
