I made a 400hz driver to reduce the flicker of my LED xmass lights.

It converts 60hz into 400hz "modified sine wave" at 115V. I was originally going to us PWM to make it "pure sine wave" but the IR2104 doesn't have the performance to drive the mosfets fast enough when running at high voltages. Oh well, maybe next time I can improve it and design it around a different drive. I already have some ideas for next time. Anyways, it's a noticeable difference in the amount of flicker reduction on LED lights and it's fun to make alarm clocks run extra fast!

Ever wondered how they could get color television way back in the day when color CRTs were just prototypes or incredibly expensive/unrealiable? This is how, using a monochrome CRT with the addition of RGB color filters on a wheel spinning as fast as the image. Sadly modern cameras have a hard time capturing such footage right, resulting in a awful flashing of the footage, so epileptics beware.

Back in the day, they used a device called Col-R-Tel, vacuum tube addon (external box) which in combination with the color wheel enabled most of the available TVs to display color image.
